Artist Statement:

A chance meeting lead me to a two-year informal apprenticeship with letter carver John Neilson. Through John I learned about C & G and gained a place on the Historic Stone Carving diploma course. During the diploma I was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST).

I located to Brunei with my husband which gave me the luxury of time to explore new cultures, whilst completing some interesting commissions. I developed a fascination with carving complex geometric designs.

Now settled back in the UK, where I have a great workshop in our garden, I’m currently enjoying working on a number of commissions, whilst developing my own carved stone artworks to sell.
