The Cuckoo's Parting Cry by Lisi Ashbridge

The Cuckoo's Parting Cry by Lisi Ashbridge

£630.00

I chose the cuckoo since I can still remember hearing it as a child- it shows how quickly things change. The cuckoo is also known to be TAKING from others without giving back, just like we are doing in the countryside. It is now time look after our hedgerows and environment and with any luck the ‘cuckoo’s cry’ will return in the future!

The text comes from a poem by Matthew Arnold (1822-1888)

Size: 390 x 11 x 20 mm\ Material: Slate, painted letters\ Location: House, garden, garden room.
